About Place:
On 31 October 2018, the world’s tallest and India’s most ambitious statue, named the Statue of Unity, was unveiled in Kevadia (Gujarat) between the structures of the Satpura and Vindhyachal hills.
The memorial tower raised on the Narmada River is by the people of Gujarat as a tribute to the people of India. The Statue of Unity enhances the beauty of the Vishal Sardar Sarovar Dam.
As an important and specific project, the state government had requested Indian farmers to donate their agricultural implements for the iron required for the statue.
